AIPSBCOEA - Stands for welfare of SBCO staff

Dear friends,

Vanakkam. Some of our friends contacted the Circle office bearers and clarified the stand taken by our Association in respect of Contributory negligence cases. 

Our rival union always used to bargain with the Administration to reduce the amount in case of recovery of defrauded amount. The members of rival union are convinced by their office bearers to pay the amount to settle the case. Dealing such cases as mediators  is the style of functioning of our rival union.

But after formation of our Association, we totally differed in respect of contributory cases. We fight strongly at Directorate level for exemption of SBCO officials from such cases on the plea of nature of our work.  If our members are subjected to recovery, we advice them to refuse to remit even a single paise. We guide them and support them to challenge in Departmental inquiry / in the Court of Law. 

We can cite an example: During the year of formation of our association, one of our senior member Com,Sadasivam of western region was sacked in a case on the verge of his retirement. But our comrade had not cow down to the department and challanged the charges. Our leader MRM guided properly and got judgment in favour of our member and amount withheld was refunded with interest.
