Vanakkam.
By this time, you all would come across
the recommendations of 7th Pay commission report. One serious aspect
relating to our SBCO cadre has been brought to the knowledge of our General
Secretary to take up the issue with Confederation and Federation.
The same is reproduced below for your
kind information
The demand of higher pay PA (SBCO) to
consider at par with audit staff has been rejected by 7th CPC stating that
qualification for entry level in the cadre is equivalent to Postal Assistants
(ie) 10 + 2 scheme.
Pl refer to the 11.8.21 of 7th CPC
wherein analysis and recommendations for IPOs are given.
IPOs from direct recruitment are
placed with GP 4600/- and IPOs from Departmental promotion are placed with GP
4200/- and hence now they are upgraded to 4600/-GP ignoring the qualification
criteria.
The basic qualification for
direct IPOs is fixed as a Degree where as there is no such norms to IPOs passed
in the Departmental examination.
If the higher pay is
possible to IPO cadre, why not it is extended to SBCO cadre as we are doing the
same work as organised accounts cadre.

ReplyDeleteThere is an element of direct recruitment in the IPO cadre which has resulted the upgradation of pay of IPO. The same is not available for SBCO cadre (all are promotional post from PA SBCO for which the qualification is 10+2 only.
