SUBJECTS FOR THE FOUR MONTHLY MEETING WITH CPMG - TN CIRCLE

Dear friends,

The four monthly meeting was first proposed to be conducted during Dec 2014 vide Circle office memo no. SR/1-16/2014/FMM dated 10.11.2014 . We already sent the subjects for the said meeting on 19.11.2014 stating that on behalf of our Association, Shri R. Murali, Supervisor, SBCO, Parktown HO and our Circle Secretary would attend the meeting.  The subjects given for the meeting  are furnished below

1. WITHDRAWAL OF V2 SOFTWARE FROM THE SBCOs, TN Circle:

Consequent on the implementation of CBS Finacle software, the utility of V2 software has become null and void.  The role of SBCO is to do both accounting of transactions,  HO as a whole (HO & all SOs put together) and to do auditing work.  As the CBS office data cannot be fed into V2 software the usage of this software has become infructuous and the accounting work cannot be done perfectly in V2.

It is learnt that in Central Region, the usage of V2SBCO is discontinued from Sept 2014  and SBCO is working based on the downloaded data available in Sanchay post instead of V2SBCO.  The control functions of SBCO are effectively carried out now.Hence it is requested to issue necessary orders to withdraw V2SBCO software through out the Circle  and direct  to upload the SO  data in HO Sanchay post  up to  a cut off date, preferably the account ending dates of a month  of the SOs. This will ensure proper closing of all SBCO Control Registers and to further monitor the transactions of the offices on daily basis.
2.    REQUEST FOR FILLING UP  THE VACANT POSTS IN PA (SBCO) CADRE:
The sanctioned strength of SBCOs in TN Circle was around 500 during early 2000’s  and now it is 374 only.  It is learnt that about 150 posts  in the PA(SBCO) cadre (ie) about 40% of the total sanctioned strength  is now vacant in our Circle.
New schemes like MIS, SCSS had been introduced for which SBCO has to carry out all control functions like other existing schemes without any additional manpower but at the same period, “technical” abolition of posts was done.
Acute shortage of staff and increase of  work load  causes spurt of pressure of work . It is apprehended that  the irregularities taking place at HO/SOs and even frauds, if any, may go unnoticed.
For the above said reasons, it is requested

1  . To fill up all the vacant posts at the earliest.

2 . Till such time, as directed in CO letter no. SB/1-2/2012 dated 25.04.12, it is requested to  issue necessary orders to provide necessary assistance to all SBCO units up to the sanctioned strength of each SBCO unit on regular basis.
